Taking care – a few tips to make A-V device a perfect exposure

If you are interested in using audio visual set ups you can easily benefit for the same. There are various tips that one needs to follow in order to make sure that all the problems associated with that of audio-visual systems are uniquely solved.

The set up as whole:

When setting up an audio system, the last item to be turned on is the amplifier.

Start with all your audio sources (microphones, DVD players, Computer inputs, etc.) and make sure the level of each audio source is at 0 db (db is the abbreviation for decibels which is a measurement of sound). Play your audio while maintaining the 0db level as the signal goes through your system. Once you have verified the signal is going through your system, then you can power on your amplifier and set the “loudness” to the desired level.

check the sources

Most systems we encounter are not using all sources, on wall plates and/or floor boxes for example, on a regular basis. Periodically check those sources for connectivity. Do this by connecting a source to the available port. This will let you know in advance if there is an issue so that you are not fumbling to resolve audio or video issues right before a big meeting.

Check the filter of projectors

Most commercial projectors have filters that are replaceable. When changing the projector lamp, check and clean the filters as well. This will keep the projector temperature down and prolong the life of your projector. Also, never be caught with a failing lamp or clogged filter before a key meeting or important class Keep a spare lamp and filter on hand. Since replacement of both items is based on usage, and usage is sometimes hard to track, having a spare lamp and filter could save the day.

Clean the back of all displays and monitors

Displays (LCD televisions, touch screen displays, monitors, etc.) are becoming more common and displays of all kinds do radiate heat. If the rear vents are congested with dust, air flow can be blocked and will cause the display to run at a higher temperature. Wipe away that dust with a microfiber cloth on the front, back, and sides of your displays regularly. Audio visual company makes sure that all the devices are up to date.

Clean your touch/control panels

Over time of constant use, a film will develop on the surface of your touch/control panel. This can cause the panel to respond in an inconsistent manner. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe the touch panel until it is free from dirt and grime.

So, all these factors are important to note and take care of in order to increase the longevity and usage of the same from the audio-visual company that you are using to hire.

Audio visual company - install A-V device with experts in the field

When it comes to planning the perfect virtual meeting, corporate event or trade show appearance, it’s crucial to partner with the right audio visual vendor. A good vendor can help you set up a show that’s memorable, effective and unique, so that all participants walk away happy and satisfied.

Of course, choosing the right vendor is easier said than done. You have many options when picking an audio-visual company, so it’s important to consider your needs and settle on the one that’s right for you. Here are a few tips to help you select the right AV equipment rental company.

Make a portfolio with outlook

The best way to get a sense of what an AV rental company can do for you is to take a look at their online portfolio. This is the way a company can show off its abilities and its personality. If you’re not impressed by a vendor’s portfolio, chances are you won’t be happy with what they can do for your event.

If, however, you find a vendor with a portfolio that truly stands out, you should contact them to see what they can set up for you. Some things to look for in a portfolio are creativity, versatility and attention to detail, as these things indicate that a vendor can truly customize an event to suit a client’s wants and needs.

Knowledge of the venue

You’ll want to work with a vendor who understands the venue you’ve chosen to host your event. While you may not be able to find a vendor who is intimately familiar with the exact restaurant, conference room or ballroom you’ve picked, you can narrow down your choices by looking for a partner who has experience with the type of venue you’ve settled on.

You may find that you have the option of working with an AV professional who comes from the venue itself. While this might seem like a great option at first, remember to do your research. AV professionals hired by hotel chains or restaurants are often outside contractors who may not know the venue space any better than you – or another vendor – does. Because AV rental companies have so much experience working to create the perfect event, it may be a smarter choice to bypass the venue’s own expert in favor of choosing your own, to truly customize your experience.

Tips to beginners before Buying or hiring a perfect set of A-V devices

According to research, the human eye can detect the light of a candle 14 miles away. Now, that’s also assuming this candle isn’t inside a house, covered by trees at the bottom of a hill. Nonetheless, the human eye can capture the smallest details. So now knowing this statistic, wouldn’t you want to ensure every visual component with your event is perfect?

Take a look at the factors that are actually to be kept in mind while you were searching for education audio visual device:

1. Strategic Approach:

Firstly, I cannot stress the importance of understanding your goals when hiring an AV company. You can start by asking yourself some of the following questions:
  • Who will be attending your event?

  • What type of energy will the guests have? Will they want?

  • What is the tone of this event?

  • What is the desired outcome of this event?

For example, if you have guests that are high energy, you will want to create an event that is invigorating and stimulating. This could potentially lead to the incorporation of Projection Mapping, the unique projection of images across a variety of objects.

2. Understand your need:

Now that the goals are clear, I ask you to take a good look at that list. After reviewing your key points, I ask that you narrow this list and sort based on wants vs. needs. Trust me, you will thank me after.

AV production can get expensive, quick! Once you outline your needs, I recommend researching the estimated associated costs. The second reason we sort our wants from needs is to incorporate new trends! Nowadays, guests are bored with the traditional speaker at a podium presentation and want to be wowed! With a better scope of your needs, you can incorporate the most practical trends to truly give your event the spice it needs.

When hiring an AV company, you will need to know the exact time allocated for each component within your event. This may include using a timeline template to track the progress of goals before, during and after the event.

A brief note on the advantages of hiring A-V companies

The main advantage of audio-visual communication is the ability for one to convey what they are communicating in an effective way. There are two main types of audio-visual communication. The use of audio-visual aids can help one communicate in both instances:
·        Sound: the most important part of communication is for the listeners at a live event to hear what is being said, if they can’t hear what the speaker is saying clearly it makes the communication rather useless.

·      Visual Aids: the use of presentations on a screen can aid with communication greatly and can provide another platform for one to share their thoughts and ideas with an audience. It is much more interesting for the audience if they can view and comprehend what is being said through means other than speech. Visual aids, such as graphs, diagrams and photographs, also help display information concisely and help the audience retain the information after the event.

·     Video Content: videos are a really great way to communicate something to an audience, they are able to clearly inform the viewer in a concise and fun way, much like visual aids. Being able to deploy videos of recorded events as well as videos in general definitely helps with user engagement or distributing content to a much wider viewership in the case of advertising.

·   Recording and Broadcasting: AV systems can usually support the recording and live broadcasting of events. This can be very useful for engaging with a wider audience by providing the content to people who are not able to be at an event in person.

·         Lighting: through lighting, one can make an event much more fit for purpose, whether it be stage lighting for productions or lighting in a filmed video. Lighting can help the viewers focus on what you want them to and makes an event much more interesting as opposed to having no lighting variation.

·    Signage: the use of signage around an event can be a great way to communicate to the attendees, providing the latest updates (through a live Twitter feed for example), photos and information (such as social media links or the schedule for the day) to them live.
